PREPARE FOR IMMIGRATION ENFORCEMENT & KNOW YOUR RIGHTS
Prepare for the possibility of immigration enforcement impacting your family.

Prepare Delegation of Parental Authority if you have minor children, offered by Michigan Legal Help in English and Spanish, or available on DHS website.
DO NOT travel out of the US on DACA or advanced parole, and avoid air travel within the US.
Know Your Rights if immigration enforcement comes to your home.
Do not open your door or grant permission to enter your home.
Request to see a judicial warrant signed by a Judge. An Administrative Warrant signed by a Homeland Security Official or an Immigration Judge does NOT authorize ICE to enter your home.
Tell officers you will not speak to them without your attorney. Do not provide any information.
If arrested, Do NOT sign any document you do not fully understand. Do NOT sign any document agreeing to voluntary deportation, departure, or removal. DO REQUEST A HEARING WITH AN IMMIGRATION JUDGE and EXPRESS TO THE OFFICERS ANY FEAR YOU HAVE OF BEING RETURNED TO YOUR NATIVE COUNTRY.
