E visa (temporary visa based on investment)
If you are a citizen of a country that has a commercial treaty with the United States, you may be eligible to open a business in the U.S. and move here with your family to operate and grow your company. Your spouse can apply for work authorization and your children could go to school. The visa application is typically made with the U.S. consulate in your country of residence and is valid for up to 5 years.
EB-5 (immigrant visa based on substantial investment)
If you want to invest in the U.S. in any type of legitimate business, you may be eligible for a green card. This is a program that requires an investment of at least $1.8 million and creation of 10 full-time jobs within 2 years. Sometimes, if your enterprise is located in a rural area or an urban area with high unemployment, the investment is reduced to $900,000.
