MARU FAMODOU

Maru is originally from Mexico City, Mexico. She received a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Universidad La Salle. She worked in Mexico for Durango Hospital, Aeromexico, EDS Mexico and moved to Michigan in 1997 to work for EDS USA, supporting the General Motors account working as a business analyst and for the last 15 years as a project manager.

After 30 years in the IT industry, Maru decided to make a career change. She always wanted to help people, treat them the way she wants to be treated, with respect, compassion, and kindness. 

The opportunity to join Palmer Rey as a receptionist and use her bilingual skills came at the end of January 2020. Being an immigrant herself, she hopes that a smile, hello or “hola” makes a difference in somebody’s day and journey.
